General information

After pushing through the VI grade barrier, technical evolution in the Dolomites took a running leap. From the 1970s on, routes that just a few years earlier would have seemed like non-existent, imperceptible lines drawn on immense slabs to the eyes of most alpinists, began to be identified and opened. Today, these routes are considered true aesthetic masterpieces, dreamed of and renowned by mountaineers all over the world!

Each repetition of these routes creates its own story, starting with adequate physical and technical preparation: These are journeys that start well before you attack the route: they are the fruit of dreams that lie deep inside us!

General Program

Sass dla Crusc – Diretta on the Great Wall  (Grande Muro) VII+. The most spectacular route on Sass dla Crusc, set between dihedrals and slabs of perfect rock.

Sass dla Crusc – Middle Pillar ( Pilastro di Mezzo) VII- (VIII orignale). Route with the world famous first VIII section in history …

Cima Scotoni, Tofane – Hyperscotoni VII+/A0 (VIII). A hard route. The first Diretta on the wall.

Tofana di Rozes, Tofane – Paolo Sesto VII/A0 (IX-. A landmark route on Tofane, this masterpiece by The Squirrels of Cortina dates back to 1960’s.

The Great Peak, Lavaredo – Hasse/Brandler VII/A1 (VIII+). The first Diretta on the wall, this route ascends into the central heart of the wall, with maximum exposure. A masterpiece by the German school, this route has a minimum 6c requirement.

West Peak, Lavaredo – Squirrels’ Spur VII/A0 (VIII+). The most exposed route in the Dolomites!

Sass Maor, Pale di San Martino  – Supermatita VII+. A masterpiece by Manolo, this route runs the entire 1000 metres of the East Face of Sass Maor and is a crowning moment in any alpinist’s carrier.

Sass Maor, Pale di San Martino – Biasin VII/A1 (IX). A spectacular route of extreme difficulty with maximum exposure!

Crozzon, Brenta – Super Maria VII. A very scenic route with little protection, it rises directly up the yellow wall of Crozzon di Brenta along its most compact and overhanging section.

Civetta – Capitan Skyhook VII+/A1 (IX-). Route on magnificent rock that develops principally on slabs. This route heralded in the modern age of Dolomite rock on Civetta – in fact it’s the first entirely slab route.

South Face of Marmolada (Parete Sud della Marmolada) - Tempi Moderni VII/A0 (VIII). No comment… it’s a route you just have to repeat…

South Face of Marmolada – Fish Traverse Route  VII+/A1 (XI-). See above! A visionary route which for years has remained the universal standard for extreme difficulty.  The central pitches are along rock that’s impossible to describe … you just have to try it for yourself!
